Charlotte Fury Finishes 2nd in Charleston 2009

Team competes in field of 50 teams

Charlotte–The Charlotte Dragon Boat Association's "Charlotte Fury" finished second in the Dragon Boat Charleston festival, held on May 2. The Charlotte team posted an official time of 1:10:93 in the final race.

Fifty teams participated in the 2009 Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday at Brittlebank Park. Teams raced on a 250-meter course down the Ashley River. The event raised money for survivor programs of Dragon Boat Charleston and Roper St. Francis Cancer Center.
